Prototype Sleepaway Camp Artwork Found

The famous knife in the shoe, as it turns out, wasn’t the only artwork created for Sleepaway Camp as you can see from this prototypical poster painting from artist David Schleinkofer. Also check out the full textless “naked” original painting that did end up becoming the poster we know and love. Props to SC Addict for bringing this to our attention.

I like it, it reminds me of a Goosebumps book cover from “Say Cheese and Die!”: http://images.wikia.com/goosebumps/images/d/dc/Say_Cheese_and_Die!.jpg

I miss painted/drawn artwork for movie posters. Now we just get the floating heads of actors on a misty background passing as art.
