In 2006, Michael A. Simpson, producer/director of Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3 teamed up to write a new speculative sequel screenplay with Fred Willard, best-selling author of the novel Down On Ponce. The story detailed Angela Baker’s appointment with death row kicking off a nasty chain of events for a pack of teens at a wilderness survival camp. The script filled in gaps of Angela’s history as well as expand the storyline into the supernatural. Whilst it did not come to fruition, it remains an interesting “what if” curio in the history of Sleepaway Camp.
